Should
Executive Order on Banning Immigration Citizens from Certain Muslim Countries
Be Rescinded? In January 27, 2017, one week after his inauguration, President
Trump issued an executive order titled “Protecting the Nation from Foreign
Terrorist Entry into the United States, ‘the order suspends the resettlement of
Syrian refugees indefinitely and all other refugees for 120 days and bans entry
of nationals from Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia, and Yemen for 90
days.” Nonetheless, the momentary
deferment imposed pursuant to subsection of this section, “the Secretaries of
State and Homeland Security may jointly determine to admit individuals to the
United States as refugees on a case-by-case basis, in their discretion, but
only so long as they determine that the admission of such individuals as
refugees is in the national interest.” (National
Security and Defense). National safety is one of the
main concerns president trump explained on why the ban is important. “When the
person is a religious minority in his country of nationality facing religious
persecution, when admitting the person would enable the United States to
conform its conduct to a preexisting international agreement, or when the
person is already in transit and denying admission would cause undue hardship -
and it would not pose a risk to the security or welfare of the United States.
In
conclusion, there are many great people who live in this country, with
different believe, ethnicity, color or religions. The good thing about the
United States of America its diversity. Trump is not on the right way; he is
not the right person to lead this great country.
According to the commentary on, "Should Executive Order on Banning Immigration Citizens from Certain Muslim Countries Be Rescinded?" It mentions that the president of the United States wants to ban the refugee admission from Muslim countries. It seems as the author disagrees with this idea when in his conclusion he mentions," The good thing about the United States of America its diversity." With that being said he gives to understand that everyone should be allowed to be in the country of liberty. Also, that Trump is not making the right decisions by not allowing Muslims Immigrants to enter the U.S.A.
ReplyDeleteI strongly agree with the author on his argument. Trump is making inequity decision for these people. First because of the situation in which these Muslim countries are currently dealing with. Many Syria, Turkey, Iran, Iraq citizens are running away from the wars occurring in their country's. Syria and Turkey are having a war with the Kurds for territory. East of those countries India and Pakistan are in a war for Kashmir territory. Not to mention the war west of Syria in the Gaza Strip. Everywhere around these countries there is suffering from violence and terrorism. All around their country theirs, not a single place where people are being safe. The only place family's refugee on is the United States for a better life. Sadly President Trump is banning immigrants from the country where they're able to be safe and have opportunities. Muslims are not here to harm anyone, there just wanting support from their neighbors.
The United States is closing the doors on them by not allowing them to enter a diverse country. It's inhuman to not help someone when they are in most need. I agree with the author that this is injustice act.
